Experience history at the Lyons & Campbell Ranch Headquarters, both a registered New Mexico historic property and on the National Registry of Historic Places.

At its peak at over one-million acres around 1900. The Lyons & Campbell ranch ran from 1880 until shortly after the murder of Cattle Baron Tom Lyons in 1917. Englishmen Tom Lyons and Scottish prospector Angus Campbell created an empire that was one of the truly great ranches of the West, and today what remains is one of the only surviving mega-ranch headquarters left in America.

At 60 rooms, totaling over 25,000 square feet,, with Bunkhouses, Jail, Saloon, Post office, Chapel, Theater, and the Adobe Mansion of Tom and Ida Lyons,  there is simply nothing else like it.  Essentially a "company town", The L.C. Ranch Headquarters was built to anchor the huge cattle operation that sent 30,000 head of cattle to market each year, from a herd of 60,000.  The L.C. Ranch Headquarters was built to accommodate the 75 plus cowboys that rotated in and out of the Headquarters in seven separate trail crews, and the investors from back east and from England, looking for a good time out west and to see where their money was going. 

Whether you are looking for a chill place to hang out by the pool in a secluded mountain river valley  or looking for the full 1800s historical experience, the L.C. has a surprise around every corner.
